1. Criteria – Anyone who has a Facebook account can submit a photo (either black-and- white or color) that portrays their Italian Heritage. They must be original, that is, taken by the sender of a member of the family. However, photos from the Internet (or any other source) that are copyrighted may not be submitted. a. There is no limit to the number of photos an individual can submit. b. Managers of the Festa Italiana Facebook page have the right to approve or disapprove submitted photos…screening for unacceptable content and potential copyright infringement. c. The main criteria: They must portray someone or something Italian. (While photos of Italian scenery are acceptable, the family must be an integral part of the “scenery” photos.) 2. Examples – Good examples of photos to submit include traditional Italian events, activities or family traditions. They can also be photos of family members who have passed away. Older photos are also acceptable. 3. Judging – Photos will be judged at the completion of each day’s activities and winners will be announced and posted on the Festa website (http://festaitalianacf.com), Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/499451 21563/) or Twitter page (https://twitter.com/FestaItalianaCF or @FestaItalianaCF. Winning entries will be judged on originality, emotional impact and adherence to the aforementioned criteria and examples. 1. Winners – There will be two (2) winners each day and they must pick up their prize in person at the Festa Italiana headquarters.
